Sneak Peak: Autumn Awaits
We are excited to share a preview of the enriching intergenerational programs coming this fall, including a special musical event and a variety of new initiatives designed to bring seniors and youth together in meaningful ways.
This season, we are proud to host a fall concert featuring talented student musicians from across Montgomery County. Designed especially for our senior community, this event will celebrate the power of music to connect generations and uplift spirits.
In addition to this heartwarming concert, we’re thrilled to introduce Senior Sports, a dynamic new program in partnership with local high school sports clubs. This initiative offers seniors the opportunity to engage with youth through friendly competitions, collaborative games, and physical activities that encourage movement, camaraderie, and fun.
We’re also launching Tech Tutor—a recurring technology support program—at Montgomery County Recreation senior centers. This resource will provide patient, one-on-one assistance to help seniors navigate devices, apps, and the digital world—making it easier to stay connected and independent in an increasingly tech-driven world.
As we welcome these exciting additions, we’re also bringing back beloved favorites. Both Crafty Companions, our creative art-based bonding program, and Story Circles, a guided discussion series that builds lasting connections through shared experiences, will be returning this fall.
With so many engaging programs on the horizon, we’re looking forward to a season filled with creativity, connection, and community. Fall is shaping up to be one of our most vibrant yet—and we can’t wait to share it with you.
