In this week’s session, seniors and teen volunteers came together to create felted flower crafts, while welcoming new faces and building new connections. The growing excitement around the program—and the upcoming launch of Story Circles—fosters joy and community which these intergenerational moments are for.

At North Potomac Senior Center, we kicked off our Crafty Companions program with a heartwarming rock painting event, welcoming seven enthusiastic seniors. From a cherry tree and colorful mandalas to the Chinese character for longevity, each rock told a unique story.
